HealthTap can support many healthcare scenarios. However, there are some circumstances for which HealthTap is not appropriate.
The following are guidelines for using HealthTap appropriately:
- Connect with U.S. board-certified doctors virtual visits by video
-
Virtual visits may be used for urgent and primary medical care including:
- Diagnosis, prescriptions, and tests that are deemed medically necessary by HealthTap doctors
- HealthTap currently offers Ongoing Primary Care and Urgent Care visits, allowing video chat with the first available doctor -- including evenings, weekends, and holidays. We do not currently offer Specialty Care
- Take advantage of free follow up texting with your doctor between visits through our Primary Care offering
- HealthTap virtual visits are not a replacement for health insurance, medical issues of any kind that require in-person care, or medical emergencies
-
Doctor Q&A and HealthTap A.I. are intended for general informational purposes only. Neither feature:
- Creates a doctor-patient relationship
- Provides medical diagnosis or treatment, or prescriptions allowed from these prescribed medications
Always keep the following in mind:
- Seek the advice of your doctor or your other qualified healthcare provider whenever you have a personal question about a medical condition or symptom
- Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking medical advice or treatment because of something you read or learn using HealthTap
- Call 911 (or your local emergency service) or your doctor immediately if you believe you have a medical emergency
